Heating and Cooling Equipment

Since the electroplating solution needs to work at a specific temperature, heating equipment must be installed for the plating tanks. For example, the plating solution for bright nickel needs to be maintained at a temperature of 50°C, while chrome plating requires a temperature range of 50–60°C. Acidic bright copper plating or bright silver plating, on the other hand, requires the temperature to be below 30°C. To meet these process requirements, heat exchange equipment is needed. For heating, direct heating methods are generally used.

Filter Machine

To ensure the quality of electroplating, the plating solution needs to be regularly filtered. Some types of plating require continuous filtration during operation. The filter machine is commonly used in the chemical industry, and it is standardized according to industry norms, though it is primarily based on the company’s own standards. The filter machine can be selected based on the type of plating, the size of the plating tank, and the specific process requirements.

Cathode Movement or Agitation Device

Some types of plating, or rather most types of plating, require the cathode to be in a swinging state. This helps increase the working current, allowing the plating solution to perform its intended function (usually brightness and dispersion capabilities), and can prevent defects like rough plating or burning at sharp edges or corners. Some types of plating can use mechanical or air agitation to replace cathode movement. Mechanical agitation is done with a stirrer made of corrosion-resistant material, typically driven by a motor, but the speed should not be too high. Air agitation uses filtered compressed air that has been cleaned of oil and impurities.
